Alexandra Bell is a figurative artist based in Hampshire and London. Working predominantly in oils, she specialises in still life and portraiture. She studied Art History at university and only returned to her paint brushes later on in life once her children had started school. Inspired by artists such as John Singer Sargent,
P.S. Kroyer and others she had studied for her degree, Alexandra sought the traditional atelier training taught at London Fine Art Studios where she was awarded the de László Foundation Scholarship. Aiming to increase her knowledge and skills, she has also taken a number of short courses including a portraiture course at Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence as well as courses at Studio Watling Clark in London.
